Hello y’all! Happy Thursday! This topic is something I shared with my Sunday night women’s small group, Dwell, and I wanted to share it here!

Verses for Study:

• 2 Corinthians 5:17 – Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!
• 2 Corinthians 6:2 – For he says,“In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you.” I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation. 
• Proverbs 16:9 – The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.

Above I have listed some verses I go to for comfort and peace! Each of these verses remind me that each day is a new day for fresh starts and new beginnings. The new is here and the time is now! When we place our hearts in His word and His promises, we can plan our way and He will establish all of our steps.

How to start your Day One: 

1. Declare it!
   Wake up, set intention for the day, pray, and smile! Today isn’t just “one day” – it’s your “day one!”
2. Map Out Your Day
   Write out a daily to-do list, check your planner, journal, daily devotionals, etc. These are the tools I use daily that really help to set my day on the best foot! Overall, I feel very organized and refreshed when I write it all out on a to-do list and journal my thoughts about the morning’s devotional study! Here’s my daily devo book!
3. Be Aware and Present
   Ask yourself, “What am I consciously working towards today?, “What do I need to do to achieve that?”, “What are my obstacles/difficulties?”, “How can I adjust my approach to make sure I get to that point?”
   Now with applying these questions, start small! Start with small tangible and attainable goals to work up to the big ones! For example, want to start a healthy eating lifestyle? Start small by cleaning out your current fridge or drinking more water! Then overtime, you’ll find you naturally adopt a full healthy lifestyle.

When you set the “day one” mindset in your heart, God will help you in your steps! 

You are SO loved by our amazing Father and each day we have the opportunity to wake up, have a fresh start, and go after new opportunities!

Nothing is holding you back – go after those dreams and aspirations starting NOW! We have a great God right there with us establishing our steps!
