autumn 2020 lookbook

Hello friends!

Happy September! I don’t know about y’all but I’m SO very ready for the autumn season to arrive. There’s something so perfect about fresh, crisp autumn air & seeing the leaves change into beautiful orange and red that makes this season so special. Oh! And how could I forget? Pumpkin spice everything of course!

I’m excited to share my cozy autumn lookbook showcasing some of my favorite brands. I hope this inspires a few new fall staples in your wardrobe. Grab your favorite PSL drink and be transported to an autumn day!

Look #1 : Corduroy Cutie w/ Free People

I love this pair of pull on corduroy flares! These give me major Mama Mia vibes. Perfect with booties, a tunic top, and an oversized sweater.

Every gal needs a lieutenant cap in her closet! It’s adjustable!

This babydoll cord top would be perfect with a pair of high-waisted denim jeans or even layered as a jacket. Plus, this color is amazing!

Look #2: Your Perfect Pant w/ Everlane

I loveeee a good pair of wide-leg pants. These wide-leg chinos would be ideal with your favorite turtleneck, sweater, or teddy sherpa coat. And of course, add your booties!

Look #3: Sweater Weather w/ Anthropologie & Free People

I adore this liam cardigan – I can picture it with a patterned wool mini skirt and tights. To complete the look, layer with a cotton turtleneck and knit headband. OR you can dress it down for a cozy day at home (insert movie marathon here)!

This ottoman slouchy sweater tunic is so versatile! You can wear it as a dress or over a pair of straight-leg denim for an easy day-to-night transition. Also, the cowl neck is so flattering and feminine.

P.S. – Belt this for an extra special look!

I have this marley top in the color “bone” & I ADORE it! This is like an elevated thermal! The off-the-shoulder details are stunning, the fabric is SO soft, and it can be comfortably tucked in or out.

I also have this skyline midi sweater skirt & it’s now a staple in my wardrobe. The slit in the front can be moved to the side or back to change up your look. I love to pair this with a band tee and my denim jacket. You could easily dress this up with a pair of heels, too!

P.S. – This comes in 20 different colors!

Look #4: Campfire Chic w/ Anthropologie & Free People

Graphic tees are SO in & I’m lovin’ the National Parks trend. These are ideal for layering with flannels, cardigans, or tucking into those corduroy flares!

I have this beaumont suede hat and I cannot recommend it enough! It goes with everything and makes your outfit look 110% more put together… plus, it helps with those bad hair days. It’s also adjustable!

This plaid tunic dress is SO autumn with its relaxed silhouette and unique flannel-like look. Perfect with a pair of knee-high brown boots. Can’t you see this #ootd at a pumpkin patch?!

Look #5 : Babydoll and Booties w/ Free People and Madewell

A babydoll dress paired with booties is autumn to me! Add a pair of mesh or knit tights to transform the look, too!

Lovin’ the stripe and button details on this cutie! The exaggerated sleeves would be perfect for pairing a cream knit turtleneck underneath.

Madewell neck scarves and skinny ties are a MUST! I add one of these to any outfit I can whether it’s in my hair, on my purse, through a belt loop, or around my neck… it’s a favorite.

& as for booties:

Booties are my fall season essential. It’s great to have a heeled pair && a flat pair to mix up your day-to-night looks. Here’s some ideas!

I hope these pieces inspire your next shopping trip – I’d love to see pictures of all that you pick out! Autumn is a sweet time full of family and fellowship… I’m looking forward to all the beautiful changes the season will bring.

Many blessings,

claire
