Happy December everyone! I cannot believe 2019 is wrapping up… can you?!
Conner and I found ourselves reflecting on this amazing life and wanted to share some of our thoughts here with y’all. Grab some cocoa in your Christmas mug and let’s cozy up.
This life is a beautiful one. A precious one. I find myself constantly reflecting on all the many blessings poured out. What’s so neat is that God planned our days to look just like they do – every little intimate detail planned out. The mountaintop highs and the lowest lows – He knows them all and He cares. That brings me so much comfort!
When I look back at my lows… nothing compares to the pure joy I’m experiencing now knowing Christ! With Jesus in my heart – I count it all joy. All is purpose.
“Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.” James 1:2
This season has me feeling so grateful. Grateful for another day, month, and soon a whole new decade. His plans are good. Our days are blessings. They are unique and intentional – crafted for us so uniquely and carefully. Your life is on purpose for a purpose.
I’m just so happy to be here today! To wake up healthy and safe in a warm bed, with breakfast and coffee available (can I get an amen?!). With my Bible I am able to freely read, music to worship to with one click, and a job/classes I am blessed to have as I learn more about all that inspires me.
In this Christmas season, I think of Jesus – the miracle and the beauty in His name. Let’s make a pact to love others more than ever before! Let’s bring light and joy into our days. And not only on December 25th… but every day. Let this be the year! The miracle of Jesus our Savior is everlasting. It is a constant. Our life is a blessing. The real gift this Christmas is the love of our Savior and this life we are able to experience together. Hallelujah!
As Charlie Brown Christmas so eloquently states: The Meaning Of Christmas Is…
“And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with great fear. And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!” Luke 2:8-14
